Babycards.ie | Our Designer Mum

Hi, my name is Elaine Hensman and I started my own business just over 9 years ago after the birth of my first son, Ryan. I wanted to be able to be a hands on Mum but without having to give up work. I've been in Graphic Design and Print for over 20 years and still love it to this day, so being able to combine my work, with being a mother means the world to me. I have three sons now, Ryan 9, Kial 5 and Jack 2, so I'm kept very busy.

Just after Kial was born Jane and Shane asked me if I would be interested in designing for Babycards.ie We were all in the baby business (their little girl Molly was only a few months old at the time), surrounded by baby stuff it seemed like a great idea and a great opportunity to combine two of the things I love most, being a mother and designing.

Inspiration was literally sitting in our laps and away we went designing cards for mothers and their beautiful babies. After 5 years it still gives me great joy to see a baby card on a friends mantlepiece or notice board.

Babycards.ie is very close to my heart and it makes me really happy every time I design a new card knowing a new Mum somewhere will be sending the baby card to friends and family to proudly show off their new arrival or say a special thank you.
